Sometimes we come across news reports of miracles, when sacred images of, say. the Virgin Mary, are alleged to weep tears of blood. People often take this as a sign that bad times are coming, and the Holy Ones are weeping out of pity for the wretched fate of humanity. So it would not be surprising if similar miracles should occur here in Siam. Weeping Icon #3: 'The Exile' (picture on the left) If Pridi Bhanomyong had not been slandered by his political enemies and wrongly accused in the death of King Ananda, so that he was forced to flee into exile for the rest of his life, and if the political futures of many others who sincerely loved Siam had not gone down with him, how much cleaner and more peaceful this country would now be.
