Chirasak realized at an early stage of his career that he would commit his life to being an artist - specifically to the distinctive style of - Surrealism. He had been admired as a well known social and surrealist artist in Thailand for the past 20 years. He moved to Phuket to live and create his pieces 6 years ago and lived there until he was killed in a car accident last November. As his work developed he became a mentor for many upcoming artists. They grew and learn from him. Thoughtful' meticulous, rebellious, unconfined and above all serene and happy Chirasak's memory lives on in his art. This is his memorial art exhibition and we are going to show 30 pieces from his last 20 years of work all at the same time. The exhibition reflects his concern with social and political agendas all of his life. |
