Exhibition : Luminous Space by Thongchai Yukantapornpong
Surapon Gallery

The solo exhibition of 70 lithographs by the 45-year-old print specialist is his first in Thailand although he regularly exhibits in Japan. Thongchai is one of the few remaining print maker artist who still does what he does best since he had graduated from Silpakorn University some twenty years ago, i.e. lithograph.

Thongchai is known for his use of layers of fine lines and colors overlapping each other in geometrical forms resulting in images of luminous visual experience. The beauty is revealed when these fascinating arrangements form rhythms of harmonious moving planes and space, and when balances between light and dark, movement and stillness, formation and cessation are continuously and harmoniously created.
