Judging:
Entries will initially be short-listed from the photographs and
slides, taking a written caption into consideration too. Successful
entrants will then be invited to bring or send their original
prints to the British Council in Bangkok or Chiang Mai for judging.
Judging of short-listed prints will be carried out by a committee
including an invited British judge.
The competition winner will be announced
on the website and subsequently in the press after 18 September
2000.
Display:
The best of the short-listed prints will appear on the 'Multiple
Choice Virtual Gallery' on 11 September 2000, alongside those
of Young British Artists. Next to a photo of your print, the
following information will appear: artist's name, age, place
of study, title of print, technique, dimensions, year of the
work. For optional additional information to appear on the website,
tick the boxes on the Entry Form.
A selection of the finalists' prints will also appear in Art4D
magazine and the British Council's Thailand publication 'What's
In'. Press releases announcing the winners will go out to the
national press.
Closing Date: 31 August 2000
