Mirinda's annual event challenges
kids to celebrate their imagination Mirinda is holding the "11th Annual Mirinda Star Drawing Contest" on the topic of "Celebration in Your Imagination". The winning works will be published on commemorative cards to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Serm Suk Plc, and prizes include 600,000 baht worth of scholarships and a trophy bestowed by HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. The contest will be divided into three levels: Prathom 1-3, Prathom 4-6 and Mathayom 1-3. Contestants can freely explore their imagination to express various celebrative themes, such as birthdays and other holidays, in their works. The contest will be held in four regions: in the Central region at Santiratwittayalai School in Bangkok; in the Northeast at Khon Kaen Wittayayon in Khon Kaen, both on December 14; in the North at Monford Wittayalai in Chiang Mai on January 18, 2003; and in the South at Srithammarat Sueksa in Nakhon Si Thammarat on January 25, 2003. The contests will be highlighted by other activities including seminars and games, in which children can participate by using Mirinda bottle caps as tokens. Contestants will have a chance to draw large paintings, one from each region, with famous artists and former Mirinda drawing contest winners. The artists are Jirathorn Jiraprawat, who will work with contestants from the Central Region, art teacher Sangkom Thongmee from the Northeast, Chalermchai Kositpipat from the North, and Su Boonliang from the South. |
Prizes will be awarded as follows: |
1. | Three Mirinda Artist prizes, one for each category, which include a 15,000-baht scholarship, a certificate and a royal trophy bestowed by Her Royal Highness Princess Sirindhorn |
2. | Three Excellent prizes, one in each category, which include a 5,000-baht scholarship and a certificate |
3. | 30 Outstanding prizes, 10 for each category, which include a 1,500-baht scholarship and a certificate. |
Schools whose students win the Mirinda
Artist prizes and Excellent prizes will receive an additional
15,000 baht and 5,000 baht respectively, to support their art
learning projects.
