.	Lewis Baltz Photographer. Born in 1945 California USA. Lives and works in Paris.

In 1956, he begins taking photographs and also works renovating houses . At the same time, he studies english, litterature and visual art. Since he has made a series of images of the expansion of cities to the detriment of their spaces in several region of United States. He has also studied abandoned places. In 1987, he contributed to DATAR photographic. He explored new technologies. with video in 1989.

He also begin to teach, write and work with famous architects like Jean Nouvel anr Renzo Piano.
