"Pricha recalled that he always preferred art classes which allowed him to experiment in pure colours and free forms. Clearly he remembered how Prayura Uluchada taught him the potentiality of colour contrasts and complimentary colours which have become so essential in his work. After all, the early sixties was the period when semi-abstract and abstract art from the West was being assimilated by several painters in Bangkok.
For more than two decades Pricha's development has been purposeful and consistent. His work has focussed on the arrangement of subtle forms on flat surface. There is, however, an exhilarating tension in the feeling that he does not have it totally worked out, that he is not proceeding according to a programme.
The result is spontaneity and surprise. Often, colours, lines, textures are defined mainly as abstractions that resist illusion. Other times they suggest space and depth but the boundaries are never clearly defined.
Nature is one of Pricha's many sources of inspiration. But once in his studio, the original experience is translated into a new one and liberated from all traces of naturalism."
