The rapid growth of the Thai economy over the past 7 to 8 years has resulted in great improvements in the quality of life of Thai people. Part of this trend has been an increased interest in the arts. Art has become increasingly popular among thais, both as a decorative element and as a sound investment for collectors.

I started out in this business in 1980, opening a small gallery. Over my 15 years'experience in the field, my business has grown, and I have opened four branches in large hotels. Throughout my career, I am proud to have lent my support and endorsement exclusively to Thai artist.

In my years as an art dealer, driven by my love of my career and of art, I have accumulated a total of over 10,000 works by more than 100 local artists. All are valuable collectors' pieces and important contributions to Thai art. With such a large collection, I decided that I would like to have my own gallery building, a venue with enough space to display large numbers of these works simultaneously.

The end result of this decision, the Sombat Perm Poon Gallery building on Sukhumvit Soi 1, is a source of great pride to me. A large and new space, it provides a forum for a diverse collection of works by the leading names in Thai art, both estabiished artists and those of the new generation. I hope that it will become a center where art lovers can view and collect art of the highest quality.

The gallery's parking area can accommodate more than 30 cars. The gallery is open daily from 10 a.m.to 9 p.m., including holidays and weekends.
