The fact that human beings live together , coalesce to form a society and follow particular practices which are regarded as something that they can put their faith in and which have been handed down for generations until they have become part of the culture is one characteristic of human nature resulting from man's inner needs. Rituals , which are part of the culture , have been formed so as to meet these emotional and spiritual needs. These rituals generally utilize symbols to represent certain beliefs which are occasionally beyond rational explanation. Rituals are something created and elaborated by man and are usually incorporated in a cultural pattern. The purpose of my works of art are to present a concept and some works of visual art derived from the imagination of an artist , which has been immersed in the rituals practised by his society , and in which symbols are used to express faith , devotion , peace of mind , and 'inner power'.
