Title : Chicken Hole Prison in Lao, 1966
Technique : Oil on canvas
Size : 90 x 120 cm.
This painting appears to depict a pile of decomposing human bodie, painted with quick, loose brushstrokes in dark colors. Aspirations for a 'modern' and 'developed' Southeast Asia had not been fully realised, due in part to entrenched traditional patronage systems, obstacles to ideological progress for these nations. The painting symbolically depicts the artist's disappointment with his country's failure to achieve important cultural progress.
Title : Telegraphy from the King (King Rama9), 2018
Technique : Digital Painting, mix media, oil on canvas
Size : 105 x 70 cm.
Endless experiments and the intellectual process continue with new challenges, new questions and hypotheses. Humanity continues the evolution of ideas and ways of seeing and creating meaning. New generations will step in the place of those who went before them. "A new wave crashes over the last."
