an art exhibition presenting Artists of Distinction through five latest Artists of Distinction from the National Exhibition of Art : Anupong Chantorn, Uttaporn Nimmalaikaew, Prasit Wichaya, Yanawit Kunchaethong, Pradit Tungprasartwong. The exhibition aims to illustrate the development of art creation seen in the National Exhibition of Art and the path of Artists of Distinction.

The National Exhibition of Art was founded in 1949 by Corrado Feroci or Professor Silpa Bhirasri, with the objective to provide more artistic space for Thai artists, and showcase Thai modern art to Thai audiences. Today, it is over six decades that the National Exhibition of Art has been together with art expression of the country.

Awarded works from the National Exhibition of Art are beneficial to the study of art. This time, the Art Centre Silpakorn University introduces the audiences to the story of Artist of Distinction through the works of five latest Artists of Distinction : Anupong Chantorn, Uttaporn Nimmalaikaew, Prasit Wichaya, Yanawit Kunchaethong, Pradit Tungprasartwong. This exhibition aims to illustrate the development of art creation seen in the National Exhibition of Art and the path of Artists of Distinction, in which their works finally come to the ultimate harmony and also enhance the learning of art in different aspects.

Light spotted over works of these five Artists of Distinction does not only reveal their artistic direction and development in the stage of National Exhibition of Art, but also the changing of materials and media used, along with the diverse concept of works.

นิทรรศการศิลปะ ที่นำเสนอศิลปินชั้นเยี่ยม ผ่าน 5 ศิลปินชั้นเยี่ยมคนล่าสุดจากเวทีการเเสดงศิลปกรรมเเห่งชาติ ได้แก่ อนุพงษ์ จันทร อัฐพร นิมมาลัยแก้ว ประสิทธิ์ วิชายะ ญาณวิทย์ กุญแจทอง และ ประดิษฐ์ ตั้งประสาทวงศ์ เพื่อเเสดงให้เห็นถึงพัฒนาการทางศิลปะในพื้นที่การเเสดงศิลปกรรมเเห่งชาติ เเละนำเสนอถึงเส้นทางการสร้างสรรค์ผลงานศิลปะของศิลปินชั้นเยี่ยม

ในปี พ.ศ. 2492 การเเสดงศิลปกรรมเเห่งชาติได้เริ่มต้นจากเเนวคิดของ คอร์ราโด เฟโรชี (Corrado Feroci) หรือ ศาสตราจารย์ ศิลป์ พีระศรี ด้วยความต้องการที่จะสร้างพื้นที่สร้างสรรค์ศิลปกรรมให้ศิลปินไทยได้แสดงออก เเละเป็นพื้นที่ของการเเสดงผลงานศิลปะสมัยใหม่ออกสู่สายตาคนในประเทศ เรื่อยมาจนถึงปัจจุบันกว่า 6 ทศวรรษที่พื้นที่การเเสดงเเห่งนี้ยังคงดำรงอยู่ควบคู่การเเสดงออกทางศิลปะของประเทศไทย

ผลงานศิลปะที่ได้รับรางวัลจากการแสดงศิลปกรรมแห่งชาติ ล้วนมีเนื้อหาสาระต่างๆที่เป็นประโยชน์ในการศึกษา ในครั้งนี้ หอศิลป์มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากรได้หยิบยกประเด็นที่ว่าด้วยเรื่องประวัติศาสตร์ศิลปินชั้นเยี่ยมมาถ่ายทอดผ่านศิลปินชั้นเยี่ยม 5 คนล่าสุด ได้แก่ อนุพงษ์ จันทร อัฐพร นิมมาลัยแก้ว ประสิทธิ์ วิชายะ ญาณวิทย์ กุญแจทอง และ ประดิษฐ์ ตั้งประสาทวงศ์ เพื่อเเสดงให้เห็นถึงพัฒนาการทางศิลปะในพื้นที่การเเสดงศิลปกรรมเเห่งชาติ เเละนำเสนอถึงเส้นทางการสร้างสรรค์ผลงานศิลปะของศิลปินชั้นเยี่ยม ที่สะท้อนให้เห็นถึงความสมบูรณ์ของการสร้างสรรค์ผลงานศิลปะ นอกจากนั้นยังเป็นการส่งต่อความรู้ที่เเฝงอยู่ในผลงานศิลปะชิ้นต่างๆเหล่านั้นให้แก่ผู้ชม

เเสงไฟที่กำลังสาดส่องจับจ้องไปยังผลงานของศิลปินชั้นเยี่ยมทั้ง 5 นี้ ไม่เพียงแต่ส่องสว่างให้ผู้ชมเห็นถึงพัฒนาการเเละทิศทางการเเสดงออกของศิลปินในพื้นที่การเเสดงศิลปกรรมเเห่งชาติแล้ว ยังฉายภาพการเปลี่ยนเเปลงการใช้สื่อเเละวัสดุในการสร้างสรรค์ ที่ควบคู่ไปกับแนวคิดของผลงานอีกด้วย
